Decisions, Decisions

I put together a First draft of the premise for the book and also a Table of Contents. There are certain non-relevant parts of Mike's life from our marriage I do not plan to discuss. His typographic legacy was firmly established long before we even met (he was 60) I did not influence his typographic work in any way. This is a book about His role in that industry. I am going to write my own memoir someday, but not now.

However, when he was at Linotype, there was a woman who was very influential in his thinking about type, life, politics, religion, etc. No woman other than his mother was so prominent. There is no safe shelter when you decide to write an honest account, is there?

I have a solid first draft of the Wikipedia entry on Mike. I am going to go over it with him on Sunday. After he approves it, I want Harry and David Berlow to look it over. Once those fellows agree/add/delete, I'm putting that page up. So many of the designers whose careers Mike mentored and typefaces Mike produced have Wikipedia pages. Some of the TYPEFACES have Wikipedia pages. All I could think was What the Hell is going on here?
