February 23. 2014: A Disturbance in the Force

On Thursday Night, February 20, 2014, Mike suffered a massive stroke. He died on Sunday, February 23, in Maine Medical Center, Portland, Maine, with family present at his bedside. We are working on an obituary that will be published this coming weekend. According to his wishes, there will be no funeral.  His ashes will be scattered at Barberhill, the Colrain, Massachusetts home he loved for over 60 years.  The family will have a Celebration of Life held at Barberhill later this summer.
