Key West, Florida I received a call at 11:30 this morning from my step-daughter, Trish. Mike had a massive stroke last night/early this morning. He has not regained consciousness: the doctor indicated Mike is brain dead. I told Trish I would find a flight home to Portland immediately. Please stay alive until I get there, Mike. I want to tell you again what having you in my life has meant to me.
