Mike Parker to Receive Lifetime Achievement Award from the Type Directors Club of New York in April 2011

Mike is over the moon with this news.  I will research the background of the group and everything I can about the award and report it here.  Carol Waller called this morning with the News.
It is so wonderful Mike is getting this recognition while he still understands he is being honored.

From Don Harington's When Angels Rest
:
"WHEN I WAS THOROUGHLY ELEVEN, WORKING ON TWELVE, I first met you. You were not part of the gang that beat me up, but you watched them do it. That was the first and only thing I knew about you for the longest time: you liked to watch. Of course you also liked to listen; did you hear it when the bone snapped in my arm? I did. And that was when I suddenly knew you were there. Probably, without even knowing it, I had been waiting for you a very long time."

Sometimes I feel as though I was 'that girl' in Mike's life.
